Basic Requirements for LAUTECH 2026 postgraduate Admission: Candidate for (i) must possess five (5) O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) Arts and/or Social Sciences subjects.

Specific Requirements for LAUTECH 2026 postgraduate Admission :

Candidate for PGD must be a holder of HND with a minimum of Lower Credit, Registered Nursing Certificate, Community Health Certificate or their equivalents from recognized higher institutions.

Candidate for M.Sc. must:

1. hold First Degree of not less than Second Class Lower Division in relevant areas (Health Education and Special Education,Nursing,Psychiatry,Psychology,and any other relevant discipline in Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities) OR
2. hold LAUTECH Postgraduate Diploma Certificate or its equivalent from other recognized Universities.

Candidates applying for Doctor of Philosophy must Fulfill all requirements for M.Sc. above and hold an M.Sc. Degree in Social Work.

Basic Requirement: For M.A., M.Tech., M.Phil. and Ph.D programmes, applicant must have minimum of credit pass, in at least five ‘O’ Level/SSCE subjects or equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings, and which must include English Language, Fine Art/Visual Art; or ‘O’ Level/SSC requirements as stipulated by Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.

Basic Requirement: For the LAUTECH 2026 postgraduate Admission, The candidate must have a minimum of five credit passes at the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) level or its equivalent in not more than two sittings. The subjects must include: English language, mathematics, Geography and any other two from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Economics.

For M.Phil., M. Phil/Ph.D and Ph.D

Basic Requirements: Candidate must possess five (5) O’Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Possession of BNSc, RN, RM, RPHN or other post basic Professional Certificate registered by N&MCN will be an added advantage.

Basic Requirement: All candidates seeking admission to any programme in the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences must possess five (5) O’Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

1. SPECIFIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to departmental and UTME requirements, candidates must also possess the qualifications specified hereunder:

1. Postgraduate Diploma Programme

For Postgraduate Diploma, candidates must possess Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science

(BMLS) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree with at least 3rd Class in relevant disciplines or Higher National Diploma Certificate (HND) in relevant disciplines with at least Lower Credit. Candidates with MBBS and DVM may be considered for Postgraduate Diploma in Biochemistry.

1. M.Tech./M.Sc, M. A. Programmes

Candidates must possess Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree with at least Second Class Lower Division in relevant discipline. Also candidates with Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.), holders of PGD in relevant disciplines must have a minimum score of 60 to qualify for M.Tech./M.Sc. Programme.

1. M.Phil, and Ph.D. Programmes

Candidates must have a minimum score of 50 weighted average score for M.Phil and 60 weighted average score for Ph.D in their Masters Degrees. Applicants for Ph.D. may be required to commence with M.Phil/Ph.D. where appropriate.

1. Ph.D. in Business Administration

Candidates must have M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Phil in Management Sciences (Business Administration, Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, etc) from a recognized institution with a minimum weighted score of 60. Candidates may be required to satisfy the Departmental requirements in a selection examination (written or oral)

1. For MNSc.

Candidate must possess BNSc. or B.Sc. Nursing degree from recognized universities with a minimum of pass if the certificate is unclassified or second class lower division.

1. For M. Phil. Nursing

Candidates who scored between 50% and 54% in MNSc or M.Sc Nursing from a recognized University will be eligible for M. Phil Programme.

1. For M.Phil/Ph.D and Ph.D Nursing

Candidates who obtained weighted score of 60 in MNSc or MSc Nursing from a recognized University shall be eligible for Ph.D programme while candidates who have weighted score between 55% and 59% are eligible for M. Phil/PhD programme.
