JAMB Clarifies Its Role in NYSC Mobilization for ND Part-time and HND Graduates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued an important clarification to graduates of National Diploma (ND) Part-Time and Higher National Diploma (HND) Full-Time programmes regarding their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation.

In a statement released via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle @JAMBHQ on 6th November, 2025, the Board emphasized that it has no involvement in any delay or obstruction of NYSC mobilisation for graduates in the stated categories.

According to JAMB, the Board does not handle admissions into HND programmes and therefore cannot be linked to any issues arising from the NYSC mobilisation process. The statement further clarified that while the Board oversees admissions into full-time ND programmes, it does not control admissions for ND Part-Time students either.

The Board’s message reads:

> “Attention, ND part-time, HND full-time graduates! Please be aware that JAMB plays no role at stalling your NYSC mobilisation. For the record, JAMB has no hand in admissions into HND programmes, and for your part-time ND programme…”

JAMB’s clarification comes in response to recurring misconceptions among graduates who often attribute NYSC mobilisation delays to the examination body.

Graduates are therefore advised to liaise directly with their respective institutions and the NYSC for all matters related to mobilisation and service registration.
