The Position & Person

The University Librarian is a Principal Officer responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library system. Candidates must demonstrate visionary leadership, personal integrity, and the ability to command respect among staff.

 

Qualifications for Federal University of Lafia Job Vacancies

• Must be a professionally qualified and practicing Librarian/Academic.
• Possess a good honors degree and a PhD in Library and Information Science (or equivalent) with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Must have attained the rank of Deputy Librarian or Professor of Library Science in a university.
• Record of research and publications in reputable journals.
• Registered member of the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).
• Computer literate and proficient in relevant applications.
• Age Limit: Must not be above 60 years of age by July 2, 2026.

Vacancy: University Bursar

The Federal University of Lafia announces that the position of Bursar will be vacant on May 5, 2026. Applications are invited from qualified individuals.

The Position & Person

The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University, responsible for the day-to-day administration and control of financial affairs. The candidate must be able to coordinate strategic financial plans and maintain accurate records of assets and liabilities.

Qualifications

• Possess a good honors degree in Accounting; a higher degree is an added advantage.
• Must be a qualified member of a professional body such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years cognate experience, 10 of which must be in the university system.
• Must have attained the rank of Senior Deputy Bursar or Deputy Bursar for 5 years.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of accounting packages.
• Age Limit: Must not be above 60 years of age by May 5, 2026.
