  7. Director of Procurement
  8. Public Relations Officer
  9. Librarians and Graduate Assistant in Library and Information Science

Role of the Registrar

– The Registrar serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and reports to the Vice-Chancellor.

– Responsibilities include overseeing daily administration and promoting a structured workforce.

– The Registrar also acts as the Secretary to the Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Second-Class Lower Division or higher in a relevant field from a recognised university.
  • A higher degree is an added advantage.
  • Membership of a recognised professional body is required.
  • At least 15 years of experience in university administration.
  • Three years as a Deputy Registrar or Deputy Director.
  • Must be mentally and physically fit.
  • Age must not exceed 60 years.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Computer literacy is required.

Librarian Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science for Librarians.
  • A BLD/BLIS, B.A, B.Sc, or LLB for Assistant Librarians.
  • Candidates should be ICT compliant.

  • Librarian applications should be sent to librarian@gouni.edu.ng within two weeks.
  • Other applications (A-H) should be sent to the Office of the Registrar, Godfrey Okoye University, Thinker’s Corner Campus 1, Enugu.
  • Submit 20 copies of a detailed Curriculum Vitae within two weeks.

Conditions of Service

  • The Registrar position is a five-year appointment, subject to extension.
  • Other positions are for three years, subject to renewal.
  • Terms of service are based on university policies and decisions of the Governing Council.
